an unintentional girls night. it was actually lots of fun. we started by being good and going to function to help stop human trafficking. then off to a whiskey bar to have a little bourbon. followed by eating greasy food and loud public singing... we may have gone back to the whiskey bar but i don't want to make us sound like lushes. (just so you know daddy, we weren't drunk.) it was lovely. i'm glad to have these ladies in my life. we are really going to start looking for ways to help survivors of human trafficking here in our neck of the woods so if any of you out there in the wide world have any ideas please let me know. but until we find something and even when we do everyone should look into transitions global and the wonderful help is it being to some girls in cambodia and please support them.

the promised update

we'll start with this guy pictured bellow.  i have been able to spend more time with him lately and i really love it.  we took jack to football practice and got a little bored so we started watching some old episodes of aqua teen hunger force.  he thought it was the funniest thing ever.  i have hardly ever heard him laugh that hard.  

we try to have dinner together once a week.  last week we took it up a notch with some card tricks and serious stakes poker. :)  by serious stakes i mean laundry and picking funny outfits for the losers.  needless to say, i suck at poker and will not be getting my laundry done and if you see me some place with extra ridiculous clothes on... just let it happen.

bellow is my attempt at a group picture.  luke moved so that he was not in the picture so i hit him.  violence may not be the answer but it sure makes me feel better. haha.

this picture is kind of a mess but i really liked all the colors.  that canadian is so small and cute. :)

jack and macey made cupcakes like pros the other day.  i loved hearing them talk about what they were doing.

this is nat's boyfriend.  haha.  i keep seeing him around town and i wanna be buddies with him.

 miss courtney greene had a birthday.  we had a great week partying it up.  i personalized this cake for her.  i call her gay all the time because of how girly she is but the truth is she is a magical lady and i'm glad she was born and my life gets to be around her's.

last weekend i got to hang out with this little lady.  she is so stinkin' cute.  

 the canadians had some cousins in for a visit.  they were just as entertaining as their stateside  cousins only in boy form.  especially because one is named tobias.   i pretty much just quoted arrested development at the kid all morning.  he was both amused and confused. :)

i was just walking past nat's room the other day and saw this out of the corner of my eye.  i thought it was confirming to some of my suspicions that smudge thinks she is a person.

i put this on facebook but not up here.  this is how fancy nat and i do mcdonalds drive through.  people are pretty jealous of us.  sorry planet earth but we are awesome.  i love you.

	This is why I like the tiny canadians. Their conversations go like this: lilah: I want to get out of the car seat. josephine: you can't. lilah: I can do it myself. josephine: no. Its too hard. Katie hates it. lilah: I hate stuff too. I hate lots of things. The way they talk just cracks me up. I laughed at this conversation so much. Partially because of how serious they both were & partially because everything is funnier when the voice saying it sounds like its been sucking helium out of balloons. i have lots of pictures &  updates coming. Sorry i've been slacking off again. :)
